Description

Bachelor Degree with major in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field or at least 12 hours of accounting plus three years work experience in related accounting environment. Assist in preparing monthly financials and performing monthly reconciliation; proficient with spreadsheet applications (Excel). Knowledge of intermediate accounting principles and computer operation. Skilled in use of computer and ten-key by touch. Ability to read and interpret technical material, communicates effectively, works independently, and reports results. 

Work involves monthly reconciliations; preparing various financial statement reports, and other financial reports and projects as directed.

POSITION STANDARDS: 

  • Prepare and key monthly journal entries for financial statements.
  • Prepare and key Daily Hour Productivity statistics and hours for all departments.
  • Reconcile patient financial cash entries daily.
  • Assist in preparing bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliations accurately and timely.
  • Update and maintain contract files, insurance files, and physician files.
  • Prepare financial statement reports accurately and timely.
  • Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual reports accurately and timely.
  • Demonstrates proficient knowledge in Excel.
  • Maintains the confidentiality of the department and accounts handled.
  • Assist in processing accounts payable and related activities as needed.
  • Prepare monthly physician billing accurately and timely.

DEPARTMENTAL OR UNIT SPECIFIC:

  • Performing duties relating to financial statement reports and financial analysis.
  • Performing monthly reconciliations and reports.
  • Assist with the month end closing process.
  • Assist in Annual Budget process.
  • Assist with payroll activities as needed.
  • Assist with special projects as directed.
  • Assist with accounts payable activities as needed.
